Software Engineering
Dive into software development and the startup ecosystem by building for real clients.
Founded in 2018 right here at Northeastern University, our software engineering track has flourished into a vibrant hub that connects with a wide spectrum of clients and diverse projects. We build software for real startups and external clients, from full-stack applications to quantitative analysis tools. Members work in small teams, collaborate with product stakeholders, and ship features that are actually used.
How Our Team Works
Every project runs like a real dev team — with clear roles, structured process, and weekly accountability.
Project Manager
Define requirements, break up the solution into tickets, lead weekly meetings, and help developers reach their goals.
Developer
Design, code, and implement software solutions by pair-programming with teammates to reach milestones together.
Together, we develop software, ship products, and help each other unlock new skills and opportunities.
Our Clients
Our commitment lies in addressing startup challenges, whether technical or business-oriented, by delivering impactful software solutions.
We partner with startups in and out of Boston, for example:
Boston-based hedge fund
Presently, an enterprise-level software for commodities exchanging platform

Alia, a startup out of NEU (recently exited) for Shopify store pop-up ads

StatArb/RV Signal Research Engine
"Our team built a full-stack trading signal research engine for a local hedge fund that generates, ranks, and back tests statistical arbitrage opportunities across custom asset universes. The most rewarding part was seeing complex quantitative models transform into an intuitive, production-ready platform with real-time data, interactive charts, and sub-second response times. I'm incredibly proud of my developers whose hard work and enthusiasm made this all possible and proved that with the right team, you can deliver professional-grade fintech tools to real clients in a single semester.” - Pujan Desai, Tech Consulting PM
